Designer: UNSIGNED BEAUTY. Intaglio is a style of engraving or carving below the surface so that design is hollowed out and an impression from the design yields an image in relief. It is sometimes called 'hollow relief or 'coelanaglyphic. It is the opposite of a cameo.

This is a gorgeous pair of intaglio antique goldtone Dangle Drop Earrings! The smooth, glossy lucite green stones measure 1/2" wide, 6/8" long and 1/8" thick. The carving is a profile of a mighty Roman warrior of finest incision and detailing. The lucite green stones resembling jade are set in a beaded scroll antique design frame with lustrous faux pearl accent exuding an air of Oriental flair. Screw clip backs. Excellent Condition.
