The mark TRIFARI TM dates this beautiful Trifari wired ball necklace to the late 70's era. It is still in near mint condition and has a 24" shimmering generous length to show off. The 8mm (almost 1/2") goldtone wired round balls exhibit noticeable wonderful texture which contrast the smooth, high-polish gleaming goldtone accent beads on each side beautifully. The front portion of the necklace has three rows of rhinestone strands (clear, red, clear) with the center cascading an exquisite 3" pendant. Note that the glistening ruby red rhinestones are arranged in a symmetrical 'V' motif shimmering against the clear rhinestones in striking contrast. The rhinestones are all prong set in silvertone metal. Aside from some clear rhinestones have slightly darkened from age (discounted in price), this beautiful vintage necklace is in excellent condition. Designer: Signed HOBE. Hobe began business in the late 1800s, rich in jewelry history and it seems to be a family tradition. The jewelry items they created in the early years were of museum quality even though they were Costume jewelry. They were considered good enough for Queens. Hobe quit manufacturing jewelry in 1992.

Typical of Hobe jewelry, not only the quality of this necklace is superb, it has an elegant tailored design of which uniqueness can only be found in high-end jewelry. Simple, streamlined yet speaks volumes about beauty. Notice the center row of the gleaming gold band is raised to highlight gorgeous texture and shimmer. Also note the elongated 'V' design of clear and peridot green pronged glitzy rhinestones accenting where the 'Q' intersects adding a sophisticated geometrical touch to the piece.
