Designer: Signed WEISS IN BLOCK LETTERS. Albert Weiss is one of the world renowned designers of the 40's and 50's known for the top quality of his costume jewelry, on the par with Eisenberg, Boucher and other great designers of that era.

Signed Weiss beautiful vintage estate antique earrings! Inspired by the beauty of butterflies, the gorgeous ice Swiss blue teardrops and marquises are set in an exquisite butterfly design. They are decorated by blue Aurora Borealis crystals shimmering in a gorgeous array of gold, green, blue and purple sparkles! The pristined Swiss blue crystals are dazzling like flawless diamonds. They are good size stones each measuring generously at 1/2" in length! All prong set in rhodium-like silvertone metal. Breathtaking! The signature of these Weiss earrings are in capital block letters with no copyright symbol. The signature itself suggests that these beauties were made in the early 40's. However, the Aurora Borealis coating was not invented until after 1955. Therefore, I date these Weiss earrings to the 1955 era. Clip backs. Excellent condition.
