Designer: Signed HOBE. Hobe has been in business since the late 1800s, rich in jewelry history and it seems to be a family tradition. The jewelry items they created in the early years were of museum quality even though they were Costume jewelry. They were considered good enough for queens. Hobe quit manufacturing jewelry sometime in 1992.

These gorgeous signed Hobe vintage dangle earrings are exemplatory work showcasing Hobe's high quality, meticulous craftmanship and talent! The top features sparkling Aurora Borealis red crystals with a gorgeous lustrous center white pearl set with multi fancy prongs and surrounded by luxurious white faux pearls on wire. The bottom has the similar design. The only difference is that instead of a center floret, it has a spinning wheel with prong set glittering Aurora Borealis red crystals and, get this, the spinning wheel moves in a circular motion when you spin it! So fun, innovative and beautiful! These beauties are signed Hobe with no copy right symbol. Because of that, I thought they were made prior to 1955. However, Aurora Borealis coating was not invented until after 1955. So, I woud date these beautiful Hobe's earrings to the 1955 era. Exquisitely hand crafted and in excellent condition! Clip backs.
