Designer: Marked de 1/20 14KT G.F. This mark belonged to Curtis Jewelry Manufacturing Company in Providence, Rhode Island, first used in 1950.

Gorgeous gold-filled textured folded leaves, three lustrous genuine pearls and shiny artistic gold-filled wires! For those who are not sure what "gold filled" means, it is a solid layer of gold bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal. Gold-filled jewelry is more expensive than gold plated jewelry because it has more gold weight and does not wear off as much as gold plated jewelry. This gorgeous gold-filled vintage designer leaf brooch is marked "1/20 14K G.F." which means the gold coating is 14 karat gold, and is 1/20th of the total weight. Excellent condition.
