Designer: EARLY UNSIGNED MARIAM HASKELL BRACELET. Miriam Haskell jewelry is signed after circa 35.

Miriam Haskell Jewelry has always been made by hand from the beginning and never mass produced. Pieces prior to the late 1940's were unsigned but clearly recognizable and prized for their fine quality workmanship. This is another fine example of one of her very early pieces. The center is a very ornate piece of 6 teardrop shaped faux pearls layered with articulated antique brass leaves creating depth and dimension. This gorgeous center piece is further adorned by two rhinestone centered pearly florets. The three strands of lustrous faux pearls are strung together by wire forming an inviting circlet. The magnificent center piece is also wired down to a filigree antique brass finding, typical of Miriam Haskell's detailed ornate workmanship. The center piece measures 2 3/4" x 1 1/4" and 3/4" tall. The large teardrop faux pearls measure 1" x 5/8" each. The round faux pearls each measure 1/4" in diameter. This gorgeous coil bracelet opens from the front. You can wear it with the two pieces meeting in the center resembling a butterfly-like design or have it one above the other (please see large photos). Either way, it's just absolutely ravishing. The only regret is a small peel on two teardrop pearls and a worn spot on an antique brass leave (please see large photo). However, the extremely ornate embellishment of this antique bracelet much overwhelmed these small flaws. Good condition. This fabulous link bracelet is the mother of all chunkiness! It breaks all the rules. The bracelet itself has four wide arched links and has been tooled out of thick silver tone metal. Layered on each link is a gorgeous chunky vintage piece of different shapes, designs and stones adding a tremendous amount of thickness. The first vintage piece (2 1/2" x 1 1/4") is a pear shaped cluster of large sparkling Aurora Borealis Amber colored prong set crystal rhinestones surrounded by smaller round Amber rhinestones. The second vintage piece (2 1/4" x 2 1/4" and 3/4" tall) is a dome of jet black marquise (1/2" each) and round (3/8") glossy glass cabachons and glittering Aurora Borealis faceted round stones with enamuel white flowers accented by glitzy stones adorning the dome. The third vintage piece (1 1/2" x 1 1/2") features gorgeous, sparkling, large teal blue faceted marquises (1/2" each) and rounds, a huge sparkling Emerald green opal shaped, faceted crystal rhinestone (3/4" x 1/2") prong set in the center and 4 smaller green marquises on the edges. The fourth vintage piece (2" x 2" and 3/4" tall) is a swirl of lustrous milk glass baguettes with a massive, heavily faceted citrine colored center glass stone (7/8" - almost an inch in diameter!) mounted in large crown prongs surrounded by two rows of clear and Aurora Borealis glitzy rounds. Wow! I said this bracelet breaks all the rules because these four beautiful hefty vintage pieces were added to the bracelet later. It is truly a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind bracelet that commands attention and is absolutely not for the faint of hearts. Excellent Condition. US$118.00. SOLD.
