Designer: Signed Coro © with a winged horse logo. Coro, Inc. was the largest costume jewelry company founded by Cohn and Rosenberger in 1919. The Coro company went out of business in 1979 after 60 years of making costume jewelry. Coro jewelry is highly collectible in particularly the Pegasus vermeil or sterling.

This striking signed Coro Pegasus vermeil vintage designer leaf brooch has an interesteing checkered pattern. It is vividly articulated with a shining gold spray sumptuously arching over it. Also, please note the gleaming high-polish gold trim decorating all along the edge. For those who are not sure what vermeil is, it is silver with gold plating, sometimes we call it gold over silver. This profoundly beautiful Coro Pegasus vermeil leaf brooch is in a rare near mint condition as if it has been stored in a safe for decades and has hardly been worn. Absolutely breathtaking!
