Designer: Signed Alice Caviness. Alice Caviness was a prominent costume jewelry designer who produced high-quality jewelry in late the 1940's.

The paste stones of this gorgeous Alice Caviness brooch are absolutely amazing. They have twice the amount of cuts to make them looking like real gems! Every bit of the brooch is covered with sumptuous large marquises, teardrops and rounds. And note the huge oval watermelon tourmaline paste stone interchanging colors from canery yellow to amber gold to sapphire green! On its side, there is also an iridescent round cut crystal cradled in a goldtone filigree round cup bursting with intense sparkles. The large chunky brilliant marquises and teardrops are a warm deep golden and light cholocate brown color. The huge oval watermelon stone measures 3/4" x 1/2" and the chunky marquises and teardrops are almost 5/8" in length. This awesome Alice Caviness leaf brooch is domed style further proclaiming its prominence. A beautiful hefty sparkling jewel indeed, truly breathtaking! Excellent condition.
